📍LIP BLUSH Aftercare Instructions

Aftercare - keep clean & Moisturized

On the first day

gently remove lymph fluids with dabbing motions, with a wet cotton pad every two hours; this will help avoid thick scabbing.  Follow with Aquaphor or product provided.

First 2 days: do a quick compress to remove lymph fluid, (3 warm in a row, them apply a cool one, using a wet (soaked in water) cotton ball or cotton pad to blot the lips).  This is the time the skin will ooze lymph fluid and crust will form, clean it gently 3 times a day.  Follow with Aquaphor or product provided.

📍Apply the product provided and or Aquaphor, liberally.  Never let your lips dry out.

We do retail an aftercare product that is highly recommended to soothe and moisturize full lip color procedures AND has the added protection  of a herpes inhibitor,  local anesthetic and herbal antioxidants  for healing.  A Real Favorite!

After healed and scabbing is done, use SPF to prevent hyperpigmentation.

📍DO’s

  • *Face Mask* use disposable mask only for 7 days, changing to fresh mask 3 times a day for first 3 days

  • *Use a cool compress as needed and recommend after eating

  •  *Before brushing your teeth, apply a layer of non-petroleum jelly (Aquaphor) to protect the pigmented area

  • *Keep your lips lubricated and protected from UV exposure.

  • *Take prescription antiviral medication for as long as your doctor recommends (suggested: 6 days afterwards and 4-5 days prior).

  • *Drink with a straw

  • *Apply Aquaphor before and after eating to act as a barrier

  • *Eat taking small bites using a fork avoiding touching lips

  • *Rinse mouth with water after eating

📍LIPS Healing Process

*Your lips will lightly weep fluid for first 24-48 hours after service.  Do not allow this fluid to dry down.  It must be gently blotted away with cold water on damp cotton pads.  Apply lip ointment generously after each time you blot.

*Your lips will most likely remain noticeably swollen for 2-3 days after your appointment.  This swelling is temporary.  Lips with filler will have even more pronounced temporary swelling.

Lip Neutralization of naturally darker lips will go through a cycle of temporarily looking much darker for the first 4-8 weeks.  This is a normal part of healing.  Please allow the full 8-10 weeks to heal.  Lip Neutralization may take 3-4 sessions which are 8 -10 weeks apart before satisfactory results are achieved.  You must be patient during this process.  The naturally occurring melanin doesn't disappear or leave, so after 12 -18 months you may begin to see your natural lip color coming through as the tattoo fades.  You may consider an annual touchup appointment at this time.  Your healing process will be the same as the first time, however it will usually only need 1 or 2 touchup appointments

this method is ideal for a natural look with some exciting brow hairs, not recommended for oily skin types

What is POWDER SHADING/OMBRE??

-a semi-permanent service using a machine that fills in brow area giving a appearance of  a powder makeup application. Shading from light to dark, front to back of brow is ombre. Everyone is ideal for this brow method.

Can I get two methods combined?

YES!  combining Microblading with Shading is the most requested as it is the best of both worlds, if you have no to little eyebrows this is the best option!  This service is know as SHADE & BLADE, COMBO BROWS, HAIR STROKES & SHADING

Is it a tattoo?

Yes, any pigment that is placed under the skin with any device, is considered a tattoo.

Can I donate blood after microblading or permanent makeup?  Both services are methods of tattooing  and therefor you will need to wait 30 days until you can give blood, always consult with your physician.

Why is it necessary to have at least 2 sessions?

The 2nd appointment is the perfecting session for re-enforcing and making any adjustments with the shape, color, and strokes.

How long does it last?

Each person will retain pigment differently due to sun exposure, skin care routines, skin texture and type that the rage of time varies from 12months to 18 months.

Does it hurt?

The discomfort is relative as everyone has a different level of sensitivity. Numbing is applied for numbing before and during the process.

How will I look while healing?
First couple days you can have slight swelling, redness, and tenderness.  The first week your brows will look dark and begin to flake.  There is no down time, so you can assume your regular activities.  It takes 30 days to see the final color, shape, and strokes.

How is the shape created?

By measuring the portion of features and bone structure with the use of string method, golden ratio, and a caliper ruler. The final shape that is mapped out, will be shown to you to ensure you are happy with the shape.

Is there anything I need to do before my appointment?

Yes, read all the information that is provided to you on Pre & Post Care, Health Information on this website, do your research..

As a precaution, we do not perform cosmetic tattooing on pregnant or nursing women.

How early should I get my brows done before a special occasion such as a wedding, vacation, etc?

I would suggest you allow time for both sessions to be completed and healed, total of 16 weeks prior to your events.

What is the maintenance for Microblading vs Permanent Makeup?

There are different factors (sun exposure, medication, skin products or treatment, etc) for each person in when a touchup is needed, therefor the time frames are general.  Microblading is approximately between 6-24 months, Permanent Makeup for the brows last approximately between 2-3 years.
